US F-15 Fighter Jet Crashes in Kuwait — Iran Claims It Shot It Down

A U.S. Air Force F-15 fighter jet crashed over Kuwait today amid fighting in the Middle East. Iran’s state media claimed its forces had shot down the aircraft.

  • U.S. and Kuwaiti officials say the F-15 and other jets were actually shot down by Kuwait’s own air defence systems by mistake during heavy combat operations.
